Religion should be about freedom, and not restriction. It should be something which you are not forced to follow, something that you have respect for, something you believe in.  In the largest inhabited river island of the world, Majuli, a form of religion exists that can be considered as free as the air that roams the island. Here, it is not about elaborate structures, or gold, or silver for God. But rather a religion that can be considered as just plain simple. The monks here, learn about arts, history, music, drama, religion and philosophy, and above all else, chant the name of love and God. And it is in this simplicity, that a soul finds itself; free, untied and unbound by the complexities that tend to blind us.
